Die Busse vom Flughafen Genua werden von VOLABUS (ATM) betrieben, einem Shuttle-Service, der den Flughafen mit den zentralen Bahnhöfen Brignole und Principe in Genua verbindet. Dies sind die beiden Hauptverkehrsknotenpunkte der Stadt. Die Busfahrt dauert etwa 30 bis 40 Minuten und der Service ist 7 Tage die Woche verfügbar. Tickets für den VOLABUS können beim Fahrer gekauft oder an den automatischen Fahrkartenautomaten im Terminalgebäude am Flughafen und an verschiedenen Standorten im Stadtzentrum, einschließlich der Bahnhöfe, erworben werden.

Der VOLABUS hält am Flughafen, an der Via Cornigliano/Stazione FS, an der Via Pacinotti/Fiumara, dann am Piazza Acquaverda (dem Bahnhof Principe FS), an der De Ferrari/Centro Città und schließlich am Bahnhof Brignole FS. Dies sind nur Ausstiegshaltestellen und Fahrgäste dürfen an diesen Haltestellen nicht zusteigen.

Genova Airport primarily serves the city of Genoa, located on the north-western coast of Italy. Bus transfers make the approximately 8-kilometre journey between airport and city centre very easy, while the airport also serves as an excellent transport hub for tourists wishing to visit the famous Cinque Terre, though travelling from central Genoa to the region by train is advised, rather than bus. From Genoa city centre, bus transfers are possible to neighbouring cities such as Turin, Milan and Nice across the French border.
