Genova Airport ligt op slechts 7 km rijden van het stadscentrum. Bussen vanaf Genoa Airport worden geëxploiteerd door VOLABUS (ATM), een pendeldienst die de luchthaven verbindt met de treinstations Brignole en Principe in het centrum van Genua. Dit zijn de twee belangrijkste overstappunten in de stad. De busrit duurt ongeveer 30 tot 40 minuten en de service is 7 dagen per week beschikbaar. Tickets voor de VOLABUS kunnen worden gekocht bij de chauffeur of bij de geautomatiseerde ticketautomaten in het terminalgebouw op de luchthaven en op verschillende locaties in het stadscentrum, waaronder de treinstations.

De VOLABUS stopt op de luchthaven, bij Via Cornigliano/Stazione FS, bij Via Pacinotti/Fiumara, vervolgens bij Piazza Acquaverda (het treinstation Principe FS), bij De Ferrari/Centro Città en tot slot bij het treinstation Brignole FS. Dit zijn alleen uitstappunten en passagiers mogen niet instappen bij deze haltes.

Genova Airport primarily serves the city of Genoa, located on the north-western coast of Italy. Bus transfers make the approximately 8-kilometre journey between airport and city centre very easy, while the airport also serves as an excellent transport hub for tourists wishing to visit the famous Cinque Terre, though travelling from central Genoa to the region by train is advised, rather than bus. From Genoa city centre, bus transfers are possible to neighbouring cities such as Turin, Milan and Nice across the French border.
